Bangladesh’s recent triumphs against Zimbabwe in their ongoing T20 series have seen key players climb the ranks in the latest ICC Men’s T20I Player Rankings. The team’s victories have largely been propelled by their impressive bowling performances.
With four of the top six leading wicket-takers in the series, Bangladesh has showcased their bowling prowess. Taskin Ahmed and Sheikh Mahedi Hasan have particularly stood out, solidifying their positions just ahead of the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
Taskin Ahmed has been exceptional, claiming six wickets at a remarkable average of 8.83 in three matches against Zimbabwe. His stellar performance has propelled him six places up to 26th on the T20I bowler rankings, marking a career-high rating for him.
Similarly, Sheikh Mahedi Hasan has also seen a significant rise, climbing six spots to share the 22nd position on the same list. His three wickets in two matches against Zimbabwe have contributed to Bangladesh’s bowling dominance.
Meanwhile, Zimbabwe’s Blessing Muzarabani has showcased commendable form, jumping five places to 69th on the T20I bowler rankings with his four scalps against Bangladesh.
In batting, young talent Towhid Hridoy has emerged as the leading run-scorer in the series, elevating himself from outside the top 100 to share the 90th spot on the T20I rankings for batters. His impressive 127 runs and unbeaten knocks have been instrumental for Bangladesh.
Experienced campaigner Mahmudullah has also made strides, climbing two places to share the 81st position on the batting rankings. However, the top position remains firmly held by India’s Suryakumar Yadav, who continues to dominate the T20I batter rankings.
